*I have always wanted to be a primary school teacher since I was little and I was anxious about making an application because I knew how competitive it was to gain entry. Sallyann helped to signpost me so I could adequately prepare for the TEG exam. She helped me with the application process too. I was delighted to be called for interview and she prepped me for this so well. I was completely over the moon to be offered a place and I am now in my 2nd year of the programme. I absolutely love it! To anyone wondering if they should take the leap and seek career guidance I would say absolutely do it, consult Sallyann. It will be the best money you will ever spend as it's on your future!"

"I was completely overwhelmed in 6th year with exam preparation and was so unsure of which direction to take. Although I did better than expected in my Leaving Certificate and achieved enough points for my chosen degree I still felt very uncertain. Sallyann was patient and worked with me and my parents to explore my true interests, abilities, hopes and dreams. With her support I decided to defer my degree place and pursue a QQI Level 5 course in Applied Psychology at a college of further education. This was a fantastic way to try out my subject area without committing to a degree and also to prepare me for future academic success. I started my BSc. in Psychology in September and have hit the ground running as a result. I am so grateful to Sallyann for all her guidance and signposting. I would highly recommend her to students of all ages."

Having left school early I doubted my ability to study at degree level. Sallyann helped to build my self-belief and confidence as well as teaching me how to approach academic writing, study and exams. I am now in 2nd year of a degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy and I'm already planning a postgraduate course! Don't allow your negative self-talk to keep you 'stuck' - seek professional help from REAL Career Guidance so you can be the best you can be."

"I was at home rearing my young family for nearly 6 years. The longer I was in the home the more confidence I seemed to lose. The employment landscape changed during this time too. It was harder to get a job and my skills were less up-to-date and relevant. I felt overwhelmed and unsure of where to start. Sallyann's approach was gentle and met me where I was at. She made everything seem so possible and together we worked through a process to get me up to speed. Before I knew it I was applying for jobs! I was lucky enough to get a part-time role near home so I work around the school day - working from home entirely since COVID-19. I couldn't have imagined how different my life would be today. It has given me a whole new lease of life. To anyone wanting to return to work seek Sallyann's professional help, it's so worth while as her finger is on the pulse."

"I wasn't overly academic at school and I knew that the formal college route wasn't for me. But what instead? I decided to seek advice on the alternatives open to me. I liked the sound of earn-as-you-learn options and after a series of profiling and interest tests my natural flair for numbers was apparent. I opted for an Accounting Technician Apprenticeship where I now work 4 days a week with my employer and attend college once a week. I get paid a wage, my college fees are fully funded and I will leave with a QQI Level 6 Advanced Certificate in Accounting at the end of my 2-year apprenticeship. I am already talking to Sallyann about progression into a Finance degree afterwards! I really appreciate all her encouragement and support in helping me to achieve my goal. I 1000% recommend this career guidance service."
